Fog light switch bypass?

I know this has been discussed before but i couldnt find the link using the search feature. Is there a way to have just the fog lights turn on when turn the fog light switch on? RIght now, the only way to turn the foglights on is to turn on the headlights but i want just the fog lights to come on and not the headlights. Anyone successful at this? Im about to install some HID fog lights but dont want to if i cant get the fog lights to come on by themselves. Any help would be appreciated.

I wanted to do something similar so I could keep them on when it's a cloudy day outside and I want something like DRL but don't want to keep my headlights on.

There is a module available at www.kptechnologies.com for this, it says it's for the coupe but you can pm KPierson here to find out if it is compatible with your car.

Just a nice daytime driving lights like the lexus has. With HIDs in them, it would give a nice clean look. And also I have a set of 6k HIDs that are just sitting here so i might as well put them to use.

I did something similar to this on my 4runner.. i just had to use a piece of wire, bent one of the pin on the fog light relay and plugged the other end of the wire on an acc power source (hot when ignition on) luckily there was one where the relays are located so this mod was easily accomplished, i haven't really looked into the G's setup but i'll look onto it when i get a chance.. i wanted to do this mod so bad since i have yellow fogs and i think it would be nice if i could use the fogs independently

Nice! But I cant justify paying $150 for the install since i paid $160 for the HIDs.

Can you post a pic of where your shop installed the ballasts under the hood? Ive looked in there but its hard to find a spot to install those ballasts. Not much room in there but please post a pic of under the hood. I might just install a switch myself whenever i get a chance. Thanks for the link. Looks great.
