infiniti claims a 3hp gain at 60mph w/ their stock dual intake system. It would seem like its designed to make power, a CAI or SRI may not do anything, and may infact hurt power.

Wrong. IT is not a CAI but a HAI. Hot Air Intake. It has no heat shield, and sucks the engine heat just like the Fujitsu. The only CAI available at this time that I know of is the Stillen Intakes. They are almost completely sealed in a heatshield and pull cold air through the stock ducts.

The term Cold Air Intake is justified by where the system places the filter, not by weather or not it has a shield. An installed picture would answer all these doubts.

^^^ true it all depends on were the systems cones are located. just because the stillen has a shield doesnt make it a cold air intake. if the nismo kit is relocated to the lower part of the engine bay (which it probably is due to the water bypass) then it would be a cai and would suck in cooler air from outside.

Stillen intakes have always been a CAI and have always been proven to bring in the coldest air. Bringing in air near the ground is HOTTER than bringing in air near your knees where the stock intake and Stillen pull it's air from.
