The NISMO CAI is already out, vendors are getting them in at my350z.com.

Exactly. The only CAI available is the Stillen CAI right now.

If anyone is likely to have Nismo it is Performance Nissan and they are showing a CAI for sale at US$435, see the following link.

There is no image and I have not checked to see if it is in their inventory:

That link was in the original post of this thread.

Aww... Maybe I'll call them tomorrow to see if they can lower the price a bit.

Ok, guys at my350z.com finally came through. It is not a CAI system, better yet, it's a tad-bit extended ram air system. Well, since they do look really nice and I'd assume they'd look even better with dark-red K&N filters, I guess I'm going for them.

Wish me luck.

Sadly, it looks like the NISMO Intake is actually a rebadged AEM. Everything looks identical.

Ok, I have an update. I just bought the NISMO Cold Air Intake System from Performance Nissan in Duarte, CA. I actually drove up there from Garden Grove and it was a PITA cuz of the traffic.

Well let's get to the point. Bad news, they will not fit. Tube is simply too long, and the heat shield configuration is different between 350Z and the G35. I was really disappointed. I wanted to take a picture but my camara's batter was dead, besides I had to put back everything together since I'm going to school in like 30 mins.

On www.mynismo.com website, which is run by Performance Nissan, they list the 07 G35 and 350Z's intake part number identically. I'm going to take these back to them and return them. Well, I guess this means I'm going to wait some more time until NISMO come out with a proper set for our car.

EDIT: I will take a few pix before I take them back for refund. Tubes look real nice since they're black. Filters are white tho'.

Well, I said I'd wait for NISMO later, but I guess I'm just getting the Fujita with heat shields.

Does anyone know if Fujita has already released their heat shields for our G? And can anyone tell me where I can get the Fujita cheapest? Thanks.

Pix Uploaded! :D

Box and the tools I used.

This was what I meant by the tubing is little too long. As you can see the filter is sticking out too much for it to fit. BTW, it's the passenger side tubing.

And these are the pix for driver side.

As you can see, both 350Z and G35 share same part number (from www.mynismo.com), yet the intake does not fit.

Now, I'm gonna go return this and see if they have something else for me...

I don't see how it is too long. It suppose to go under the support but you can put it in that area since you didn't remove the box.

Same thing happened to me although i didn't buy the nismo one, instead i bought the stillen for a 350Z, the seller on ebay listed G35/350Z so i took the plunge just to find out the heatshield on the passenger side won't fit because it's was too big.. so dissapointed

That's what I thought too so I tried to put the filter part in first and then connect the tube to the throttle body... but still no go.

You... didnt' remove the stock filter boxes.

I'm sure it'll fit. Chances are slim that they would sell a system that wouldn't fit our vehicles. Especially, if it's Nismo.

I did remove it yesterday. I just couldn't take pix yesterday cuz the battery was dead and I had to leave for school like in 30mins. Read the other post I wrote above those pix.

Also, the heat shield position was all wrong, too. The guy worked at the Performance Nissan even told me that underhood of two cars look different and also said "The intake tubes on the G35 look shorter..."

Well... Maybe you can buy them and try? I really want 'em, too. If you can make them fit, please provide some installing adivise along with some pix. Thx!

I don't think I'm gonna be modding my car any time soon. Probably K&N drop in filter would be the most I'd do. I like the way the car is right now. lol I don't even have any money right now. I need a tint badly though.
