Did my first oil change yesterday
I did the first oil chage yesterday. Nothing too difficult. A couple of observations:
It took longer to remove the belly pan and 17 bolts than it took to change the oil and filter.
I filled the car with 5 1/8 quarts ran the engine and let the car sit for 20 mins on level ground and my dipstick still reads below the top fill mark. I am starting to question the accuracy of our dipsticks.

If the mechanical oil dipstick accuracy is in question, perhaps infiniti can go the way of the BMW, and offer us electronic sensors for oil. Seriously, one of the reasons for crossing out the BMW for purchase was the oil dipstick sensor being electronic and the other the runflat tires. The G35 oil dipstick conjured up nostalgic days of quickly (and accurately) measuring oil levels. I would expect the G35 oil dipstick to be accurate, but I have yet to change its oil.

I used 5 and 1/8 qts and after letting it sit overnight it did indeed measure right at the top dot. I checked it about 20 minutes after the change and it still read a bit low so there is enough residual oil still settling to show low, at least that was my experience.
One other note, you only need to remove the back 4 bolts on the engine undercover and the plastic has a hinge that allows access to just the oil pan & filter
