opinions on this sub for our cars

What do you guys think? The price is appetizing and so is the small footprint in the trunk.

I know there was a thread on the original basslink I but I am unsure how this one differs besides aesthetics and the extra 50 watts rms.

i was thinking about getting the same sub... I think it's a square sub instead of circle like the basslinkI. Its not going to knock hard so people can hear you, but it'll be clean bass inside your car

Yea the bose system has very little bass. I do not want to rattle the trunk or go really big like a W7 or a solobarik L7 but dont want to spend money on something that will make little difference.

From that site I can get the basslink II and a wiring kit for just over $400, then I can install myself or maybe have circuit city do it since I do not know much about the bose amp etc.

I really wish I could hear one before I buy it.

Can you upgrade the bose sub with a small add-on amp? That would be my 1st choice.

For the 07's, we have 2 subs in the front and 1 sub in the back. I believe this sub will give you a 4th sub in the trunk, except this one will be able to hit the lower frequencies better.

What about adding dynamat on the rear deck lid the add to the respose of the current sub. There are lots of large holes in that baffle.

The sub is ok. You're better off building a custom box with a 10" or 12" that'll fit in the rear corner of the trunk.

I built a .75 cu' box that fits nicely in the passenger corner of the trunk with a 10" sub. I didn't lose much trunk space an it hits nicely.

It just depends on how much bass you want.

Well after looking around I have been interested in getting a kicker L5 sub and box that will fit pretty nicely in the very back of the truck right up against the rear seats. It blocks the easy passthrough but I really never use that anyway. You guys think this would be too much or what?

It is like 400watt rms. 10" square with a ported box.
