Unhappy what happend?

So I've decided to take the dash apart to check on some things, sort of what equipment I can hook up and what kind of wires and connectors are there behind dash. I've disconnected the front panel and the screen, didn't cut ANY wires, just put it all back the way it was. Tried to turn the car on and it wouldn't turn on. Now I've noticed some new lights that appeared in random places, looks like the electronics got screwed up somehow. Then, every time I hit the button to turn the car off it turns right back on in a second and wouldn't shut off at all.

I called the infiniti roadside service, so the guy came in and was able to jump start the car, so I got excited for a moment. Then, we realized that not a single function (odometer, rpg, etc) is operating the way it suppose to. On top of this, when the guy was charging the battery, the car mileage started going up and went up 400miles , which is ridiculous. I was finally able to shut off the car by holding the button for a few seconds and now planning on taking it to a dealer on Monday.

Did any of you guys have experienced this weird problem? Any idea what I could possibly break? Should I disconnect the battery before taking the dash apart?
Also, will infiniti fix this for free?

Plead ignorance when you go to the dealer. Do not tell them you took the dash apart. You're certain you connected all the wirring harnesses behind the dash back?

thats exactly what happened to me, they said that when my car would drive over bumps, a connector would come lose and disconnect and reconnect and it screwed everthing up exactly like what yours did, but mine would stay on but wouldnt let me go over like 10mph, then the next day it wouldnt start. my car has been in the shop over 2 weeks now. so i'm guessing your problem might be you didnt push in a connector all the way, then you started your car and the ECU went crazy. i your connector is still good you might be able to just reconnect it in the back, and get the computer thing at AutoZone to reset all your warnings on your ECU
