Damn, They Did it Again!!
well, i have to give props (sarcasm) to Pepe Infiniti of White Plains...lets take this from the top...first they tried to rip me off when I was purchasing my coupe (crazy $4000 markup), and denied me a test drive until i demanded one...the sales guy didn't know a damn thing about the specs of the car (he didn't know these cars had a limited slip - i told him as a test that the 03's didn't come with it, and asked him if the 04's did, he said, "oh yea, thats new, but you won't notice a difference" - wat a joke!)...second, after they installed the factory wing, they never removed the metal shavings from the trunk, so now every time i open the trunk i hear wat sounds like sand moving inside of the trunk lid...i took it for service and the sound is still there...when i picked up my car, the sales guy never put the temporary registration sticker on my car, so i drove all the way home to find myself driving back to the dealer to get a new one since the guy "lost" it...next, i bring my car in to get an oil change, nothing more, nothing less...they charged me for the 3,500K service which included an oil change and they topped off my windshield washer fluid(they also checked other fluids and the brakes, but y would u need to on a brand new car that has 3500K miles on it?) - cost? $85 for an oil change and windshield washer fluid...to top that off, they charged me $5 for gas on the loaner car and said that i have to replace any gas i use (wtf? $5 dollar charge on top of replacing the gas? seems kinda stupid, y do i get charged $5 dollars for gas that i'm replacing anyways?)...now is the latest idiotic move from the "prestigious" dealership - the idiots put the wrong lienholder name on my title...instead of being United Airlines, they put Union Airlines...Union Airlines!? even a simpleton would realize that there is no airline by that name! while i was on the phone with the person in charge of this matter, i also inquired about my registration sticker that hasn't arrived yet(yes, i'm still driving around with the temp and i got my car on december 14th)...she goes to me "oh, its sitting right here in your folder, its dated December 27th, i wonder wat happend?" wtf!?? she wonders wat happend? i wanted to scream "YOU IDIOTS NEVER MAILED IT OUT TO ME, THATS WHAT HAPPEND!!" thats two whammies in one shot! seriously, these people need to lay off the crack and take better care of their customers, their survey is gonna take a nose dive for the trouble they are causing me...sorry for the long post, but i had to vent, i'm sure if all of you other G owners have had the same problems with your dealers, you would be pissed off too...i'm so jealous of you guys that have awesome dealers!!!!!

Wow that bites. It sounds more like a bad Pontiac dealership than an Infiniti. My dealership actually recommended just a $30 oil change for my 7,500 mile service, saying that there's no real need to pay for a brake and general inspection at that point. I thought that was pretty cool. Also, the one time I got a loaner they never asked me to fill it back up or pay any fees.
I would suggest going to a different dealership for service after you get this lien and registration sticker crap taken care of. Make sure you scorch them on the Infiniti survey.
Good luck on everything.

Sorry to hear about your bad experience. I can't believe they charged you $85 for the first 3,750 mile service. At Ramsey Infiniti (where I got my car from), my first service appointment was complimentary. I didn't take my car there, I took it to Park Ave Infiniti instead (because it's much much closer) and they only charged me I think about $37 for the whole 3,750 mile service. I also took my car there once because I thought my alignment was off and I scraped underneath the car in this parking lot..they checked everything out and everything was fine and they let me go, free of charge. I can't stress enough how good Park Ave Infiniti in Englewood, NJ is.
The trick is to not let these car dealerships push you around...show them that you know more about the car than they do and that you're not there to waste time and BS with them, even when it's for a service appointment. Get in, have them to do the work, then get out. If Park Ave Infiniti in Englewood, NJ is within your driving distance, I highly recommend going there from now on for your future service appointments.

Profile4: That really sucks and I would be furious. When I first bought my TOY Celica in 98, I had a handful of problems after I got my car and so I wrote a letter to them copying their corporate office. Well I reamed them a new a$$hole. If I would you, I would send a letter as well as the survey. That really stinks. The dealer in PA I dealt with was really nice and I dealt with the one in Summit, NJ and she was really really nice. Sorry for the situation.

If you know what each xxxx mile service involves, you can do much of it yourself and save alot of $. All I take the car in for is the oil change and filter change. I can refill windshield wiper fluid myself. Inspect brakes? Well, since I've already changed out my calipers, lines, and rotors, there's no need for that. I pay $29 for an oil change at the local infiniti dealership. And they gave me a coupon for a free oil change for the next visit.

I agree with koreangrl, send in your survey with a letter explaining in detail everything that has gone wrong. Put it in time line order (before purchase, during purchase, first service, etc.) Make it look like a professional business letter or memo style. No swearing, use good spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Don't mention by name any sales person or technician in particular so they won't fire him/her and continue their ways, you want the whole dealership to straighten up. Your above post is a good draft. Get someone to proof read it or email it to myself and I'll look it over. I've sent many letters to vendors, manufacturers, and received them as well at my old workplace.

I agree with Ventural. Oftentimes people are afraid to speak up. They vent to their friends, co-workers, forum members, but rarely do they vent to the people that can make a difference. I'd suggest the above. And send it certified. Perhaps a copy to the dealership too. Just to let them know Dad's on his way home.

I was all ready to buy my car Pepe because it was my local dealer, now I can't speak for everyone there, but the people I spoke to were complete morons. Thank god I didn't buy my cra there. I ended up going to Park Ave, and like someone else has said, they've been great. I highly recommend them.
