Anyone switch horns ?

I had a smaller car and the horn was wimpy so I switched to Stebel TM 80 magnums, about 139db close up. It draws 12amps for both and 6amps each... how do I know if the stock wiring can handle this?

I do not know how to read wiring diagrams, but I am guessing from this picture it is 15a for one and 10a for another ? So if my upgraded horns draw under 6amps at 12v each , it should be ok?

Compared to my last car, (06 Eclipse) I too think the horn is rather on the soft end.

Get one of those Hammer train horns... that will wake up the dead, and it kills zombies, so you're all set.

Just installed the stebel nautilus using the existing wiring for the front (low) horn. Seems to work fine and is freakin loud!

My dog is pissed off at me right now with me testing it in the garage.

The stebel nautilus is known for being SUPER loud, but it's also known for it's sucky life expectancy.
Keep us up to date on how many times you get to "blow your horn" before she's dead in the water.

I had a pair in my Tacoma. I guy with a Ford Ranger, pulling a trailer, pulled right out in front of me and I hit my horn... he drove right off the side of the road.... must have thought a train was coming through.
Unfortunately, it was short lived fun.

Thanks for the heads up. Thankfully I didn't splice anything, so if it does die, I can just drop the oem horn back in.
