Expected treadlife on stock 18" Potenzas?
#18
Seeing as everyone with the OEM 18" Potenza's has had issues with pre mature wear, has anyone looked into the possibility of a treadlife warranty on this tire? 15k miles on a tire is terrible and I can't imagine that Infiniti or Bridgestone meant for this to happen... then again they do get extra revenue from our having to buy new rubber every 10-15k.
Any thoughts??

I don't think it's premature wear at all, I think the wear rating on this tire is very low for a reason. It's by design and typically means it was design to provide good performance. You can't have both.
The oem Potenzas' wear rating is 140!!! that sux for wear but great for performance. Although not a true comparison (should never compare different brands), the HydroEdge (very good tire btw) from Michellin has a wear rating of 800!! Michellin will warrantee that tire for up to 90,000 miles.

but you get the best of both worlds, and the best rain traction of any AA traction tire out there. (once again, proven) and they are not TOO expensive, i got mine on and balanced and warranted for $1164.

BTW, our dealer says Infinity doesn't let their dealers rotate the staggered sport rims, even though they CAN be swapped side to side. Seems like this would help squeeze a few more miles out of 'em. Anyone else have their dealer say they can't rotate these (side to side).

4/32" is what tirerack recommends for new tires. Realistically, 2/32" is safe as long as it's dry outside.

You might consider the Nankang. Looks like a bargain for a summer tire
About $330 ($82each) for the 225/45/18~245/45/18 set

They seem to be well reviewed too
