I'm thinking of getting a clearbra installed on my new 08 G35xS and was wondering which one to get installed?

I've heard that the 3M is good, but can have some yellowing and fringing on the edges, however the Venture Guard bra is supposed to be better?

Whats the consensus here, is that true? Which one is better and do you know of any good installers for each in the DC metro or NYC/NJ areas?

I have the 3M, and there are a couple edges that have started to seperate. It has not turned yellow that I can see, but all I clean it with is soap and water. NO harsh cleaners. I keep wax on it also...

Most bra's on the market will not yellow as long as you wax it and maintain it.

I know that 3M offers a 5 year warranty against yellowing.
I haven't checked out the other's warranty.

A. 3M warrants that Scotchgard™ Paint Protection Film, installed after November 1, 2003, will be free of defects in materials and manufacture — including yellowing, bubbling, or cracking — for five (5) years from date of purchase. This warranty does not apply to damage caused by misuse, accident, misapplication, or ordinary wear, nor does it apply to dents caused by physical impact of rocks or road debris.

anybody have any experience with the venture shield bra on the g35?
I have the 08 G35xS, and is there a template for it already and does it fit well? anybody had this installed yet?

i have the venture clear bra on my car. i actually prefer it over the 3M because it's not as glossy and matches the shine of the car much better. venture shield actually was recently bought out by 3M. it fits perfectly fine on my car.

Venture Shield buys their film from 3m in bulk and then cuts the kits. So basically VentureShield is a 3m material. I have been installing ClearMask for 3years now and it is also a 3m film. It has a glossy finish and the film is warrantied for as long as the purchaser owns the vehicle. You wont have to worry about either yellowing or cracking. The finish only fades at a 3% rate... where some fade at a rate as high as 20%.

The edges lifting are a sign of a poor installation. The installer should hard card those down before he releases the car. Once down they wont lift... unless your really trying to lift them.

Your main concern should be getting a good installer There are a lot of poor installers out there and if your going to spend the money, make sure they are very good at what they do.
