Valentine One Laser Faults
I have an Escort 9500xi. I had it mounted using Mike's Mount right below the rear view. Unfortunately, I experienced loads of false laser alerts, including at startup in my garage. I tracked it down and found that the Nav screen sets off the laser alerts!!! I put the unit on the windshield now to the right of the rearview and no false alerts.

all the cars with laser cruise control, audi, infiniti, lexus etc... set mine off and the breaking lights on trailblazers SUVs and the WORST is when a cop points at me, the laser goes off!!!
so is it possible that the nav screen and the headlights set off the laser alerts? it seems that way to me.. i have my v1 set off to the right above the mirror and unless its angled just right, it'll give me laser alerts... i really wanna change the angle of the v1 cuz i think mine is angled too far down.. but if i straighten it out one more click on the stock mount, it faults ..
anyone have the same problem?

I had this problem a year ago, other infiniti's especially the QX, coming towards you will set it off.
i just adjusted it V1 up a lil or down a lil, just a little. enough to stop the random laser...
try it, been working for me for over a year

I used to own the escort with my 05 FX and I had ICC. It was just the lasers being used for preview braking or whatever it is called. I don't have laser detection with my new g35's k40 but I know it would be going off if I got too close to another car just like it always did.
Reading through this tread, I can't help but wonder: With all these "gadgets" > radar detectors, Navigation units {fixed or mobile}, ICC cruise controls, Cell phones, Do You think there are radio/laser/microwave beam affects to human beings. You know how "they" tell you that bluetooth in-ear transmitters are very bad for your brain, do these gadgets emit similar waves that could affect your health??? There are many reports of electro-magnetic fields and cancer for instance..... Anybody have some data?
I have the V1 and I have no issues with the laser detector (other then the fact that it gives you virtually no warning). I just went to Valentine's wepbage and he's got listed there a few things that affect laser detection. Variables range from the amount of sunlight, the color of the vehicle, the distance from thh gun, road geometry, and traffic. The last three are obvious but the first two you may not have considered. He gives a little explanation on each at the following link:

I don't see ICC listed on there anywhere but if you shot him an email I'm relatively certain someone will get back to you. sales@valentine1.com. Just a few thoughts.
