I was suppose to get an oil change 150 miles ago..

Hello. My car is in need of an oil change. I was suppose to get it about 150 miles ago but will not be able to until Friday, which will probably added another 200 or so. Is it ok to wait this long for oil changes? I usually get them with 50 to 100 miles before the mile thingy on the sticker but have not had time.

Like I said, I usually change it with 100 to 200 miles before the due date. I'm just high maintenance with the cawr.

3750-200=3550 on the dot.

just figure he's changing his oil every 3k to 3500 miles. we're not using precise numbers here, as anything within 1k miles is fair game and not a big deal at all

Actually, 7500 miles is recommended.

I use full synthetic and go 7500 no problem. Just use a good oil filter.

But, "miles" is only a recomendation. If you drive 2000 miles a year and they're all city..... I'd change the oil at 2000 miles. Hwy vs. City and time all matter. What oil and filter you use matter too.

What full synthetic do you use? There are really only two oils that are actually "full synthetic". You should change your oil every three months, or after you have exceeded the recommended miles on the oil. Wow this thread is just wow lol.

fram is as cheap as china filters....

Owners manual says to change aroun 7500/3 months if you do mostly highway and 3750/3 months if mostly driven in stop and go or short distance driving where your car has not fully warmed up.
