Hmmm...

I believe you have to disconnect the phone from the cars bluetooth first then run the download address book from phone. It will hook up to the phone and initiate the download. I remember running into the same problem with my t-mobile 8320. If that doesn't work let me know and I can try the syn again in my car and give you more thorough instructions.

You can't download it with the iPhone. For more questions check Infiniti's reference site for specific phone compatability and setup guides.

I have a T-Mobile 8320 and I had problems the first time I tried. The problem was that my phone book was too large (over the 250 entry limit of the G35). Luckily I have categories for my contacts (since I use Outlook for work and it syncs to my BBerry). In the BT transfer options, I just only included the categories I care about (basically excluding my "clients") and I was able to sync just fine after that.

still doesnt work. it says "failed to transfer." or something like that. can you retry your method... if not then i guess i should put categories in my bb.

when i put categories does the car ask for what categories to transfer?

I've been having an issue with my BB Curve. Maybe it's only because I spend like 2 minutes at a time messing with it...but I tried disconnecting the phone via bluetooth and didn't help at all. On the Infiniti site it says I should be able to download the whole thing. Looks like I'll have to RTFM at some point.

And I know your problem, Richirich - since I have no address book in my car and a phone number pops up (and my phone is in my pocket) I wonder "Who is this calling me?" When the girl I was on a trip with the other day was in the car my best friend called and I just had to hope that he caught all of my clues that the girl was there (but he didn't) and I just made the call as short as possible to avoid any questions or comments he would say that would be wrong for her to hear.

Actually, nevermind, I just read the "Setup" page off the Infiniti site and it says in the instructions "This device does not support contact transfers via Bluetooth." Oh well, guess I either have to do it manually or see if my old phone works better.

I had no problem downloading my entire phone book from my BB8830. I initiated the transfer from the options menu in my crackberry.

StoutAg35 & richirich: My BB 8320 (T-Mobile) has synced also. It definitely works. See my post above to see if maybe you have a similar problem to what I did before.

My awesome blackberry decided that it no longer wants to even sync to bluetooth. I'm assuming it's the BB instead of the car...since now it doesn't want to zoom in picture mode either. I'll have to mess around with it some more but damn I'm lazy.

WOW, THANKS! I went into my Blackberry 8820 (AT&T), under options, highlighted the bluetooth for the G, and there is an option to "transfer address book". Everything worked GREAT.

Oddly enough the infiniti bluetooth site said that feature was not supported on my blackberry. But it did work!

Thanks again!

Why would anyone have the bluetooth activated when you are in the car with a chic, That is just asking for trouble.
