That better not be you wearing the clown pants and shoes. Other than that, nice write up!

I was wondering when someone was going to point that out. That's my three-year-old in pajamas and "princess" shoes.

She insists on helpng in all of my projects.

So far no laser. The radar detector seems to be pretty sensitive, it's been picking up the sheriff dept's instant on a mile away or so, over hills.

Awesome install, very impressed. One thing though: with that being in your grill you can't detect behind you? I wouldn't like that feeling.

There is a laser shifter over the rear license plate. As far as radar, it relies on radar reflected from objects in front of you to pick up anything from behind. It is apparently really sensitive and has performed well in side-by-side tests with the V1. However, I can certainly envision situations in which you may not have anythng reflective in front of you and then you'd be blind to radar from the rear. For reference I picked up the sheriff dept's instant-on from behind, too distant to see and around corners so that was comforting.

G-Perz:

Do you have adaptive cruise control? I'm thinking of getting the 9500ci but I wanted to be sure that they don't interfere with each other. I have the 9500ix and it works fine for me in my G35. However I wonder if the location of the detectors/jammers would make a difference.

P.S. Sorry for resurrecting an old thread but not much info about this question. Also, what format are the pictures in? I can't see them even though I can see pictures in other threads.
Thanks.

No on the adaptive cruise control. I"ll have to look for some old pictures and put them on my new photobucket. I have the same detector in my M6 now days and still no complaints.

bump for those pics!! Thinking about the 9500ix but pending your pics I might lean towards the stealth install as I don't like the idea of a dash mounted detector either. All depends how the DIY would go - not sure how I would like a local shop to do this for me, as well as the price tag to go with it!

Bump for pics. Installing the 9500ci in a few weeks ! Where do you live to have Jammers illegal? I'm in va where it is illegal but if caught is only a $40 fine with no confiscation. Reward is far better than risk.
