Alignment clarification
Alignment clarification
After 4 hours that i left my car at alignment shop, i was called and told that they cannot make any adjustment without a kit..front and rear. Now mistake me if im wrong but i am sure ive read that there has been some members that have got an alignment done without kit? not back to full specs but at least some adjustment?
I called Infiniti and they told me the same. PLease let me know what it is you lowered guys/gals did for the fronts. I will prob order the rears this weekend but the fronts are whats killin me right now.
Thanks in advance.

-2.4 isn't that bad, i've driven that on my old slammed car and still able to go tens of thousands of miles on the tires, what kills the tires is if your toe is off
but yeah, aftermarket parts for our car is still lacking...

There is definitely some stock adjustment available.
Front - from the factory, only toe is adjustable. No aftermarket kits yet for front toe/camber.
Rear - from the factory, both toe and camber are adjustable. Of course you can get the Eibach (manufactured by SPC) rear toe/camber kit.
The factory adjustments only adjust so much, that's why ppl install aftermarket kits that allow more adjustment. The lower you are, the more likely you'll need a greater range of adjustment.
I have Eibachs --
Front: Camber is out of spec @ -1.5. Using factory adjustment, toe is set to the "optimum" spec, per the factory service manual.
Rear: Using the Eibach kit, camber and toe are both set to "optimum" spec per the factory service manual.
At first, I tried installing only the camber kit and not the toe kit. In order to get the toe somewhere within range, camber had to be -1.3(far end of range). I was okay with this, but then after checking the alignment after a week, camber was only a tad off, but toe was totally out of whack. That's when I decided to also install the toe bolts.
Also, 07Geezy, I don't see how you can be -2.4 camber all around unless you are slammed. From what I've read, I think most ppl w/eibachs get around -1.5 camber in front, and ppl w/H&Rs (which is pretty low already, IMO) get around -2.0 in front.

Yeah I'm on H&R and I'm basically -1.9 all the way around. My toe is fine. I'm on TR1s and will get about 15K miles out of my fronts...probably more on the rears. Again...no camber kit anywhere, just adjustment after lowering.
