Hey guys, I'm getting my CAI in the mail later today...I was wondering what a good price would be to have this installed at a local shop? or would you just recommend me doing this myself? only problem is, i don't really have any tools so i would have to go to a friend's house and do it...

It looks like it would take ~2-4 hours. Probably $200 if they have to take the bumper off.

There will be sense of accomplishment when you install it yourself.

It blows my mind that an intake install takes this much work.

Usually, an intake install is like a 20 minute job tops for other cars.

Loosen one noose, unplug a few sensors, remove... the slide in the new intake, done. What is so hard about the installs for these intakes?

its a cold air system so the filter doesnt sit right on top usually. its routed down so this would mean at times removal of bumper or unbolting the wheel covers.
