Take it off your stock exhaust, and bolt it onto your aftermarket? I wouldn't recommend it though.

Just a thought.....my bro's 335i w/ a quad setup has some annoying buzzes at times and that's the last thing I would want in a nice car.

Stillen exhausts are designed so that you'd use the weights from the stock exhaust. There are 4 weights on the exhaust i think. Removing them will make the exhaust just a tiny bit louder. It's almost unnoticeable.

EDIT: attached a pic.

Is that your car? Did u have them on and then take them off? I'm less concerned about loudness as I am about vibrations and drone. I guess I've never seen or heard about using weights in this way before. I'm a shy modder and I wondering if I could something to make an exhaust system more livable.

yup thats my car. in the pic, i just got done installing the exhaust but I didn't have time for the lead weights so i put them on the next day. The leads are held on by a couple of bolts. It takes just a few minutes to take them all off. try it and see if you like the sound.

I will try it, oh but I need to get an exhaust first oh and a new car too, lol. I'm G-less right now, but I'm working on a replacement and doing my research.

are there points to mount these onto for the FI? I found my exhaust lost the buzzy rattly sound when i removed these weights.
