Invisicord installation in a 2008 Infiniti G35

Has anyone installed an invisicord into the rear view mirror of a 2007/2008 G35? I have only found threads where they have been installed on 2006 and earlier models. The wiring colors are different on the 2007 & 2008's. http://invisicord.com/

Inviscord

I put in the Stealth cord with my Escort 9500xi. It is exactly the same as the Invisicord. Works fine. Mine is a 2008 G35xS Sedan. the wires to use on the mirror are the black center one(gouund) and brown righr side one(power).

I know this is off-topic, but how do you like your 9500xi? My original 8500 is getting a little old and am thinking about Escort's $80 trade-in program.

2008: brown = switched 12v, green = always on 12v, black = ground.
2007: pink/black = switched 12v, red/black = always on 12v, black = ground.

For 2008 model, Invisicord installation goes as follows:

Put the yellow colored invisicord probe into brown. Put the black color invisicord probe into black.

For 2007 model, Invisicord installation goes as follows:

Put the yellow colored invisicord probe into pink/black. Put the black color invisicord probe into black.

Works perfectly as I've done it both in my 07 and 08.

I like the idea of the stealth cord, but I would miss the mute button WAY to much to get ditch my og cord.

Get a V1 and you won't have to worry about the mute b/c it's right up front....

9500xi

love the 9500xi, you get a lot less false signals. It has GPS and a data bsse of all known red light and permenent speed traps that is updated regularly.

I upgraded from the 8500 (worked great, but false laser signals finally pushed me over the edge) to a V1. I'm all for it being sensitive, but that thing never shut up (and yes I did adjust the settings). I sold it and picked up a 9500xi.....so much better. Both Escorts were mounted with a stealthcord with no issues.

My Vector 995 works killer. i know you all didn't ask but I'm giving you my input on it. If you look at all the tests, the 995 performs similarly to the others anyway...

Thanks for the install instructions. It works perfectly. The only thing I wish was that the detector would turn off when I turn the car off.

It should turn off when you turn the car off. It sounds like you got the always on 12v instead of the switched 12v.
