Thoughts on wheel widths.

Well I've been thinking of ordering wheels for my car and have been debating on whether to go with an 11" rear.

I've been thinking of 20x9 +35 245/35 front and 20x11 +48 275/35 rear.

Just wanted to get some opinions on this set up and whether it would fit or not.

How much camber would I need with a set-up like this?

Thanks,
Borna

I've got 275s in the rear and I love it. It looks really mean. I'm not sure about your offsets. I played around with this calculator to make sure the wheels would be flush with the body.

Are your rears 11" wide? If so please post pics and offsets.

The 275's stretched a bit on the 11" rear should give a really nice look.

I'm thinking +35 front and +45 (maybe +48) rear with an acceptable amount of negative camber should give a nice aggressive look without wearing out the inside of the tires too much.

I already used that offset calculator but I haven't measure the fenders or wheel wells of the car so I don't know if it'll fit without rubbing.

Thanks

11's? wow thats crazy
well some guy did 10.5's and he said hes fine with it but i feel bad about your tires cuz i dont think u can have a camber kit
its just too wide bro, although the stretched look, looks mean. Your rims are goin to be also sticking out like crazy status.
Unless u like that look
i would find that guy who has 10.5's and see what he did. he might help you

Yeah I spoke to a friend a couple mins. ago and he said It'll be a tight squeeze.

I drive the G everyday and use valet a lot so I don't want the wheels to stick out of the tires too much so I might be scrapping the idea.

I may just go for 8.5" +35 and 10" +42 or so.

Still open to opinions on this and maybe Gdup35sedan can chime in since he seems to know these things better than anyone.

Thanks bro

No problem bro
Ya parking the car with those offsets would be hella scary lol
cuz your time wont save your rims from scraping
8.5 by 10 is perfect
also if the tire in the front is too wide, your handling wont be as good as stock. 8.5 is perfect bro
and you could still have 275 in the rear so its goin to look sick
what choice of rims are you looking into?

Thinking of DPE SL-5's rivetless matte black with chrome lip

EDIT: This is the style wheel I'm looking for and I'm pretty sure the DPE SL-5 is the closest thing without having to pay 2k per wheel

those HRE's are nice
those are track editions...they are really light
about 20 pounds each but they cost about a grand each which isnt that bad...but those only come in 19s or smaller

The DPE's are basically the same design for a cheaper price.
They weight around 24 lbs. each.
And they come in 20's, I checked it out a while back.
They're basically LS-5 just the spokes get thinner near the barrel so I'm deciding whether I want the SL-5's or LS-5's still not sure.

^if he can without rubbing, horrible tire wear, bulkiness im sure he'll put 11's but you have all of those thing to worry about cuz too big also doesnt look that great...especially when they stick out
But ya got with the DPE's they are alot cheaper than HRE...big time lol

^ What he said...
If I didn't drive the car daily I'd be more willing to do it but since it's my DD and the roads in Dubai are fvcked cause of construction (although not as bad as Cali) I don't want to deal with the headaches of crazy widths and offsets.

BTW Robby which one do you think looks better? Remember both will be matte black with chrome lip.

LS-5's

SL-5's

I'm basically going for this look

Ivory Pearl
I checked with HRE and got a quote for ~$1900/wheel and I don't really want to spend that much.

I figured rivetless SL-5's would look about the same for ~$1000/wheel
Even the LS-5's would look great as long as they're rivetless like the ones on the 3-series
