BP Invigorate gas
BP Invigorate gas
What's your experience with using BP Amoco regular gas with Invigorate? I've decided to try it out recently and have found that my MPG is about the same as with other premium gas brand. Hopefully, regular gas does not cause any problem even though premium is only recommended not required for my X.
When I filled it up, it's funny but my MPG was at 29.5 as I was using cruise control at 60MPH (my commute is very far so i try to save as much as gas as i could so going at 60 seems to do the trick). That's the highest I have seen so I took a pic with my phone camera but don't think i could attach it here. But eventually with all the city driving, it is now down to the normal 25MPG.

i put regular gas on my car and no problem...
all my friends who leases the car just put regular for years..and had no problem with the car & dealer didn't say anything when returning it...
my friends have...06 Audi A6, 08 Benz C300, 07 BMW Z4...they all put regular.

Damn...25mpg is impressive. I drove like a grandma and i was only getting 19mpg which was only 2 mpg better than my normal driving so i said screw it and enjoy the car everywhere i go
Like previously stated these gases just have more cleaning agents in them and were not made to increase gas mileage.

I use nothing but
Amoco Ultra from BP...it does have cleaning agents in it to prevent engine sludge.
Buying regular for a car that takes premium saves a bit at the pump, but will result in lower MPG, so that savings is not as high as it appears.

BP 93 is all mine gets and all my previous cars have gotten. after a teardown of one...you could eat off of the valve train and piston tops of a 60k mile HARD driven motor.
i believe in using 93 octane for sure. BP/shell/sunoco....
sythetic motor oil gets the same response for anything under the piston skirts....mobil1/royal purple/castrol
