ive had the frozen cente console deal a couple times but got a new one tonight on the drive home...everything came on but the screen - cd player worked, climate control worked, navi worked (could hear the music cut out at turns to a dest. that i had set previously) but no screen...anyone else have this problem yet?

with hack it will be hard to get the dealer to fix it, however i doubth thats the issue though...

 

I too have had this problem and my car is completely stock. I am taking it in this Monday to see if the dealer can figure out what is wrong. I found that the screen will fire up if you let the car run for a couple of minutes and then restart the car. Like you said, everything works, but you can't see anything on the screen, no heat controls, radio station, or any navi functions.

If u end up taking yours into the dealership or figuring out what it is, let us know, I'm surprised this hasn't happened to more people. I tried searching but couldn't find anyone else having this problem.

 

yea mine eventually came on after i stopped to get gas

as far as the nav hack...id be suprised if it had anything to do with it seeing as its only cutting one wire thats of little importance to the whole operation and i rarely use the hack

 

Did anyone get his problem fixed by the dealer yet? I have a 1 month old 08 G35 sedan with 700 miles on the odo. Tonight while driving home the CD suddenly stopped and all the audio and climate control button stopped functioning. I did not try the streering wheel controls. I stopped and restarted the engine when I stopped at a traffic light with no luck. When I got home, I tried to restart again. Same problem. I am going to call the dealer tomorrow but just wondering anyone has more info.

 

I dropped my car off about a month ago, the dealer could not "recreate" the problem even though I made a video of the screen not turning on, while all my other functions worked. Whats funny is that the navigation voice kept saying follow the highlighted route...but the damn screen wasn't coming on. The genius' at Hyatt Infiniti told me to bring it back when it was worse. To top it off, one of the "smart" service guys there made a stupid remark "...that's what happens when you buy from the Toyota store" shut him up real quick when I reminded him it was still a 1.5 year old car made by Infiniti)

I love my G35X, but after dealing with Hyatt I don't think I would buy another Infiniti, not until there's another Infiniti dealer I could take my car to.

Sorry to get off topic but I get worked up anytime I think about my experience at Hyatt.

 

I had the issue of the screen blanking/locking occur once. Infiniti of Nashville replaced it right away.

Just thought I'd share a good dealer experience.
