problem need help ASAP
So I searched and couldnt bring up the threads for cars not starting and I am pissed.
I go out to my car tonight to start it (its about 30 degrees out) and it wont start I just get this weird clicking noise. My battery is less than a year old and never had this problem before. All the lights come on and the radio but it wont turn over. I am in the middle of nowhere PA and will call roadside assistance tomorrow morning but am hoping someone would know what was going on.

To test get into your car, turn on your headlights and crank the car. If the headlights dim substantially, your battery is most likely dead. However, the root cause could also be a bad alternator.
If you had a stick shift, I could have told you how to get it going without a jumpstart.
Sorry to say but either your battery is dead and/or your alternator isn't charging your battery.

+1 on ^^^^
I would just get a jumpstart and see if it is charging. Do you have any aftermarket electric application installed? Only people had problem when they left there car for a week or so without using it.

The immediate problem is the battery but the root cause could be a defective alternator not charging...

I will try a jump in the morning because when I try to turn it over everything will flicker then go off. No after market parts. I will make an appointment to go get the alternator checked out on Monday.
I wish I had an AT at this time, I would have popped the clutch quick as hell, there is a really nice hill right by my moms house.

However, you don't really need a hill. I helped some guy working for me jump start his Civic by pushing it to say 1-2 mph and he popped that clutch and disengaged it quickly and his car started up...
Popping the clutch on a civic is a whole lot easier then popping the clutch on these cars. We tried that on my buddies 05 coupe and it was a PITA. 1-2 mph doesn't cut it. We had 4 guys pushing it as fast as we could, and then it still took 3 tries. I had the same problem years ago on my eagle talon. Someone mentioned the fact that it was because it was a high compression engine
So I jumped it and took it to Autozone to get the battery tested... as I am 67 miles from the nearest dealership. they told me the battery was bad but they couldnt replace it because it was too hard??? Hell I could have done that but Im in a hurry.
Took it to the nearest Nissan dealership, they told me I could pay for it and get reimmbursed by my dealership if the battery was actually dead... they tested it and it is fine. I was in a hurry because I have to get to Philly to pre-game for the Eagles game sunday. Well its starting fine now but have an appointment tuesday to get it looked at. I am driving my other car up to Philly just to be safe.
