strange issue when filling up

for the last couple of times filling up at the pump..

my needle on the fuel tank gauge will not point to the very top line.. it stops at the line below the top..

when i try to put in more gas.. the pump will not let me since it should be full..

i have tried filling up at two different gas stations and this still happens

the last time, i force pumped more gas into the tank and gas overflowed so the tank has to be full

usually when i fill up, the needle will be above the top line

anyone have this issue?

no, i bet the float arm got bent in ur tank, just take it to the dealer and tell them the gas gauge needs to be recalibrate

It is full. He says it will overflow when he tried to put more in it. It just neds to be calibrated as snowcrossmxz says.

My 04 had the same issue...just like my 07. It's an Infiniti quirk.

the strange thing is.. after driving like 25+ miles.. the needle moved up past the top line..

i bet the float or float arm in the tank is messed up

Let us know how it goes. I think they should be able to fix it easily.
