need to know: 2008 Journey w/o BOSE Sound system, is it AMPED?

I have an 08 Journey with the base stock sound system, is it still AMPED?

Or is that just the Bose system?

The basic unit does not have an external amp. The amp is probably built in to the head unit.

See the attached diagram from the service manual so it should be accurate.

every sound system has an amp,
as stated above, some are external. and some are in the head unit.

Only the "sub" in the car has its own amp. I believe it has 100 watts on it. The rest is powered by the head unit.
