ok, i know there is a similar thread to this, but my question is totally different. I have my G for 4 months now, and currently has 2000 miles on it. As you can see, i don't drive much.

I was told to change my oil at every 3000 miles or at every 3 months. Is this true? So does this means i should change my oil, now that i had my car for 4months(even though i have less than 3000 miles)?

 

Follow the factory svc manual. Severe intervals only require oil changes at 3750. 3000 miles or every 3 mos IMO is overkill. Even if you don't drive your car all that much, 6 months would be fine.
