How can I disable the safety features on Nav system entering data while driving I have read posts on other sites about homemade boards, etc.

 

I don't believe you will get many responses to this due to it being taboo.

I will state that if you do so, you will also change how the system functions in a negative way if left disabled.

 

theres a way to do it by cutting some wires

It is not illegal to disable a vehicle function. Is it? I would think a simple over-ride switch could be installed to allow use when vehicle in motion. If Infiniti were smart they would install occupancy sensor in passenger seat to allow use. But wtf do I know. I have not found anything on Google expcept a link to Ebay.

 

Frankly I believe in many cases their safety functions are more unsafe than trying to work around them. This goes for the Music Box, the nav and so on. About the only one I totally agree with is the Aux input. The real strange thing to me is how closed off the Music Box is while the iPod is left basically fully functional. I don't find the voice command work around as all that great.
