Car ramdomly died last night

Just as the title say I went out for a few drinks last night (I was D.D) and when I go to leave my car wont start and all you hear is click click click. The only thing I can think about is that my buddy tried to burn on an interior bulb that's burned. Would that drain your battery? Also I always leave my lights on auto and have them set to they turn off when I close my door. Any ideas because I'm lost??

I did notice a loss in my MPG by about 2 during the last week and a half. I also think it's time to switch it out. What battery would you recommend. Should I go with an optima red?

i personally run an optima in my G, but i have a duralast gold in my corvette and had no problems. optima batteries are a lot more expensive, but pick your poison. if you have subs and video screens and what not in your car i would go with optima tho.
