Rear bumper removal

Anyone have instructions on how to remove the rear bumper. I don't even need to remove the entire thing. Just need to loosen the driver side so I can screw it in tightert. Someone bumped into me parking and it loosened the bumper a little on the driver side? Anyone?

Someone hit my bumper in a parking lot and I want to adjust it back to normal.

Anyone know how to adjust it?

I haven't taken the entire bumper off, but I know the sides are held in with tabs.
I learned this the hard way when the crack ***** rear ended me at a red light.
The sides popped out and I was able to pop them right back in.

Everyone reading this that has an 07 or 08 should D/L a copy of the service manual. It's very handy for such questions.

My bumper does not look lined up to the quarter panel at the wheel well.

Old thread, yes - but I'd like to pull mine to fix one of the clips to have it flush again. Infiniti denied the repair...

Any diagrams available?

^ +10000 its in there with pics so just download it, i will post the steps from it for those who cant find it. When you download the entire FSM its under the EXT.pdf file

1. Fully open trunk lid assembly.
2. Remove rear combination lamp (LH/RH). Refer to EXL-198,
3. Remove clips (A) located under rear combination lamp (LH/RH).
4. Remove screw (A) of bumper fascia underside.
5. Remove clips (B) of rear wheel house protector rear end (LH/RH).
6. Remove screws (A) of bumper fascia front end upper (LH/RH).
7. Remove clips of bumper fascia underside, and then pull out bumper fascia toward rear of vehicle.
8. Disconnect license plate lamp connector (A).
9. Remove bumper fascia assembly.

bump for an old thread. On the manual it says that you can't reuse some parts behind the rear tailamps (forget what they are called) anyone have the part #? Is there risk of damaging a gasket on doing any of this stuff?

There are push-in clips underneath the car, and the same kind under the taillights. You have to remove the taillights to access these. As I remember, the only screws are in the wheel wells. Everything else just pops on or off. To adjust the fit near the wheel well I think all you would have to do is loosen the screw there and push it into place and then tighten the screw. There is a wiring harness connecting the licence plate lights that will need to be disconnected to completely remove it.
