Fixing interior door handle chips

I saw his picture. They are all made using the same coating material (whatever it is) and I don't have any chips or scratches. It looks the same as the day I bought the car.
What does the finish colour have to do with anything. If mine where chipped or scratched then you would see a different colour just like you do in is photo.
Maybe the finish never cured properly on yours.
Did you show/tell your dealer? Plenty of guys have had their 07+ sedans front grill replaced for chipping. It could be argued, based on it being a similar condition, that they should replace the bezel for poor craftsmanship.
When I brought the car in to get some other stuff done, I tried to get the bezel (and my chipped grill) replaced.
Unless you throw a serious hissy fit, they won't replace either.
Yeah, the craftmanship isn't that good. But, both are damage from the driver, so it's hard to argue with that.
This is my first import car and I love it, but I do have to say GM does pretty well with certain things. While fit and finish in the interiors isn't very good, they're freakin durable.

You don't understand. The coating on the black bezel appears to be a thin black rubber coating over on top of some sort of tan material. Mine does not have deep scratches but the tan is showing through. Yours is a tan coating over a tan base. Make sense? It's like comparing apples and oranges.

I guarantee you I don't have any chips or scratches. Every front and rear door bezel in the car are in identical, new, condition. My drivers bezel is grabbed by me many times per day, every day whereas the other doors are virtually untouched because I very rarely have passengers.

It feels like the same material as the door.
I accidentally took a chunk out with my fingernail trying to clean something off of it.
The stuff is nice looking, and soft to the touch. Just not durable at all.

For manufacturing cost sake, wouldn't the bezels be made of the same greyish plastic material oversprayed with the interior car colour. I'm not about to put scratches in mine to confirm but that makes sense to me.

My door bezel looks like crap too. I have a stone interior and the rubber around the handle part is worn off as well. 20 months of ownership. I was planning to point it out to the dealer when I went in for service.
wow....i was gonna make a thread about a this a while ago but figured i would get the "nit picking" treatment... I have stone interior and my handles looks like **** they are all dirty and have massive amount of chips and scratches. I figured it was no big deal since i had the same problem on my 01 Maxima, the Maxima had that same rubber or platic all over the car so the scratching was all over.
Anyways to make a long story short ill probably do like others and just replace it in time.

same problem
Hey guys, check out my issues im having with the rubber chipping on both the door sill and steering wheel. As you can see i keep my sirius remote in the door sill holder, but there is no reason for the chips to be so bad, and its only on the 07 model, my parents have a 08 and the sill and steering wheel material is different. Infiniti must have realized there was a problem and fixed it. Anyone get Infiniti to fix it warrantied?
If you guys have this problem because of the ring then learn to drive by left hand and put your right hand on the shift ****. I have been driving by left hand for years since I switched from Auto to Manual.
Its deff not the rings, that maybe one of the problem, but its deff sheity material thats on the 2 pieces. YOu can scratch it with your nail aswell, and if something can easily be messed up when you just place your hand in the area, that FVCKEDUP!
