so would this also affect the manual shift response in anyway??
because when i drive/race im in manual 95% of the time. plus im thinking of just doing my own wires if it does help in anyway. thanks.

If you're in the "every little bit helps" and "it's cheap, why not" group of people, go for it.

But, I don't see how it'd make enough of a difference that you'd ever be able to notice.

My current opinion on mods: If you can't feel a difference, don't waste the $$.

I bought almost every bolt on (and heads/cam) for my last car (02 Trans Am). I was disappointed with almost every mod I did because other than the gears and heads/cam, it didn't make the car drive much different (including the strut tower brace, lower control arms, and sub frame connectors).

A few mods I was very happy with: Short throw shifter and exhaust (sounded great). If I could do it all over, those are the two I'd get and skip everything else.

so far from today's driving, there seems just a slight slight bit of reduction in the lag when shifting. you know when your shifting in DS or even moreso in Manual mode, say 1st gear and you rev it high to 6k or so and shift to 2nd, there's a slight lag before it shifts, then again in 2nd to 3rd, theres that tad bit of lag... well, it seems there's a very slight bit of reduction in this lag, mainly noticed in the 1-2 shift and 2-3 shift. the 4-5 shift seems just a smidge quicker as well. Overall the car kinda seems a slight bit more responsive to but not sure if it's just in my head from being hyper-aware of driving it aggressively.

Thats all I have to report. It's not much, take it for what you want. Is there a cold hard difference, not 100%. There's a few thinkgs I seem to feel but as said, not sure if it's the cables or not. For as easy as it was, it was worth trying.

thanks man, i'm a definite mod addict with anything i get into, almost obsessive as I have to know everything about everything. with these cables, you can't expect a night/day difference with these cables but they were inexpensive enough to check out and try. the G37 guys love them and there's not much experience with us g35ers, so someone had to try.

At this point, I'm waiting on my GT Spec strut bar, my H&R sway bars and my JWT PopChargers... I might be the first on the site with the PopChargers and I'm pretty sure the first with H&R sways. I'd like to stiffen the springs and/or struts up some but just can't have the car sitting any lower, even tho the springs are sitting right here on my porch. I might try some Sport model springs.

if you want a quicker shift in an auto, why not get the transgo valve body upgrade.... You can get it for 200 if you want to do it yourself, or my local transmission shop will order and install it for a decent price (i think it was 600). You'll definitely feel a more firm shift...

I definitely feel that lag you speak of when shifting in manumatic...however, i think this is more due to the temperature and the transmission not being warmed up completely when i feel this lag and almost a jolty feeling in the morning time

whenever i drive in manumatic when it's during the day, and fully warmed up i feel very little to no lag...but in the morning i'll press up on the shifter and almost wait a second before it shifts...i would definitely like to try this out just to see what it feels like for myself...especially since i have a roll of 4 gauge wire and all the tools to make this stuff...i also want to ask my circuits or power professor if something like this could make a difference...

Hi sredish. Glad you like the mod, but they may be in your head. I and a few others have tried grounding wires and found no difference on the 2nd gen.

All cars are different of course, and who knows, your butt may be more sensitive

pretty much all transmissions are the same, it's the brain for our transmission and gearing is different, but the design is the same. The Transgo VB upgrade is 249 from GTM, you can probably look around and get it cheaper somewhere else. It'll make your shifts more firm, slightly quicker...
