paiting grille today to a glossy black. had a question...

so i am painting my grille to ultra gloss black. but the question i had was...should i paint the entire grille glossy black with the mt. fuji chrome of course or paint the grille black and leave the top horizontal bar and bottom horizontal bar chrome also with the mt. fuji chrome as well? What do you guys think? I am kind of leaning towards the two horizontal bars staying chrome...but i dunno

Also when spray painting the grille should i hold the spray paint can far away so it coats evenly over the grille?? thanks guy!!!

If you're planning on leaving the Infiniti emblem chrome, I think the top and bottom strips would look best chrome. However, you're going straight for the "altima" look by doing that. Kind of a step back in my opinion. Perhaps think about blacking out the entire grille? I saw a picture of one person that had done this and it looked VERY good.

As far as painting goes, you need to keep the can 6 to 8 inches away from the grille to ensure even coats. It'll also help prevent runs in the paint. And I'm sure you know to sand that thing down first

I did mine with the chrome bars and semi gloss and I liked it because it tied in better with the chrome in the headlights and the black of the lower grill. I do agree it is a bit of an Altima look.

I mean no offense, but why are people so into this look?
The front end screams "ALTIMA" now.

mine was actually done in a body shop, they color matched the paint to my car, sanded down the grille, sprayed some adhesion promoter, paint, and clear coat.

its been almost a year, and i have one chip but thats due to a rock.
