Cool Question regarding Rear View Mirror

Hey guys, I wanted to know if there is any way to disable the rear view mirror sensor that dims darker when headlights shin into the car. The reason why I am asking is that I have 20% tints on my rear where at night I cannot see well into the rear view mirror.

Thank You.

There's a switch right on the mirror itself to turn it off.

No. At least there's nothing in the manual about that. Maybe you can cut a small, square piece of opaque tape and put it over the sensor? If it's dark outside but the senser doesn't have any light shining on it, then I guess it won't dim what you see in the mirror?

You could put lighter tint on your rear window then you wont have that problem.

You could rip off the mirror and put a conventional one on, plus then you'll never run the risk of the rattle sound from there.

I think that if you cut the brown wire to the harness that connects into the mirror it will disable it, but it's just a suggestion. I don't want to be responsible if you F anything up.
