G35xQX1, thanks for the info. I ordered the LEDs for the interior for right now. Having worked on LEDs a few years back I am glad to see that White and Blue LEDs are being used so heavily these days....

The white LEDs have held up to 2 years now and still look great.

Great mod... not expensive and makes a drastic change for the better.
where did you get yours? for some reason, all of the ones i have gotten from v-leds and some from superbright begin to get a flicker after 3-6months

I bought mine in a pack of 10 from an eBay auction, but I believe they came from SuperBrightLEDs.com.
I've had 3 that have gone in the past 2 years... same thing, they flicker.
I had to go back to stock bulbs on the license plate and trunk lights until I pick up some new ones.
I had gotten them for approx $20 for 10, which was a pretty good deal at the time.

The ones I bought look kinda like this:

I believe that my next set will be the brighter bulbs they now have available.
Nothing too bright, but a tad brighter, like these:

i have ones like the second picture....
they ended up flickering too. the license plate bulbs would go out the most often, so i went back to stock there after 4 bulbs....
then the trunk flickered....replaced it...twice
then the rear map lights....replaced them...one each side...left side is flickering again
then the front maps flickered....replaced them once
now my doors are flickering. wanting to buy a whole new batch that a reliable.

any of your led's in the interior have a very very faint glow? has to be night time to see it.

i think thats whats wearing them out

I haven't had any of those glowing LED issues that others have reported.
All of the interior lights are just like new (knock on wood)

The license plate lights were flickering soon after installing them. I replaced them and they did it again.
License plate lights will get you pulled over around my parts so I went back to stock until I can find something more reliable.

I hope you're talking about the interior, not the exterior amber and reds...

The Surface Mount LEDs should be much better than regular LEDs. Any one of them will blind you as it is, but it seems to me that the SMTs tend to be whiter and a bit brighter.

Most of the bulbs I bought from superbrightleds before have gone out on me within months of installing them, over and over again. Everything I have now are from vleds, and only two of the cheap bulbs are going blue on me. The rest are fine. But then again, Everything I have are SMTs or M-SMTs...

Are these all plug and play? How much are you guys spending to change everything out? LED's look great but if I have to spend 20 bucks every 3 months its not worth it..

They're plug and play unless you use an LED in any turn signal... then you'd have to wire in some resistors or you'll have hyper blinkers like half the ricers out there.

Nice! I did a little exterior but I used red and amber accordingly. Well, except the rear turn signal that I used amber for!

I didn't change the bulbs under the ambers in the front because the amber covers on the bumper and the covers inside the headlights seem to be tinted differently, making the LEDs' brightness look slightly different...
