You can buy the Fram filter from Ebay for 17. That's what I did. I also bought the Airfilters for engines HKS so I don't have to buy it from Infiniti. Do your own shopping and maint. and save.

Could anybody tell me if I installed the filter correctly?

It says on the sidewall "Air Flow" with the arrow pointing downward. I'm not too sure if it means air flows "in" or "out." May be I should ask the MFG?

It is a FRAM air filter.
Linky Linky

Installation wasn't too bad. It took me about 20 minutes. Probably won't take anymore than 10 minutes next time. Can't believe dealer charges almost $100 for this.

Looks right to me. Is that the exact same size as the OEM filter?

Yes, it is. First, I was skeptical too as it had too much gaps but it's the same size. Weird, huh?

Air should flow into the firewall, so arrow should point up, that's the same filter I used too. Only problem I had was trying to get that screw that's way in th eback of the glove box, it tightened up but probably cross threaded

Went to autozone and got a replacement filter last night for $18. Not sure why i decided to do it outside, in the dark in 20 degree weather..but anyhow took me a while to get the glove box out...the damper pin was hard for me to get out...but once i got that off everything else went smoothly. Thanks for posting this up. My old filter was quite dirty...33k miles.

I bought my Charcoal Filter from ebay only cost me $11 shipped to my door. It is a 100% better in terms of material quality than the OEM one that was installed on my G35 (****ty paper one). I don't think the first owner ever replaced this filter so I took a picture this way you guys can see how nasty yours could probably be if you have never changed yours.

forgot to add that this came from a G35 2004
