Canadian Car - HID fogs with DRL's

I would like to add HID's in my fog lights, but I was wondering how that would work with the DRL's that also use the fog light.

Anyone have any input?

Also, are HID fogs too bright for oncoming drivers or are they aimed too low to bother?

I can't think of anyone that has attempted it because of the DRLs.
Most of us have just switched out to Höen xenonmatch for a better colour match.

I threw in some LED's for the DRL's since I don't find the fogs very useful for light anyways, but HID's might change that.

I'm assuming the DRL's are reduced output compared to the full on fogs. if so, then I would see that being an issue with the HID's.

Yes, the lights to the inside of the headlights are fog lights and also DRL's in Canada. I'm wondering if the HID's work (and work well) with the DRL's or not since the DRL's are reduced output over the fogs.

well.. as i can say.. not much difference, they are bright enough for u to drive at night only with the DRL's hid^^ I think HID has it's own adapters, so i think it would be different than only changing the bulb as it will adjust the power.
i used to have a 4300K on and sometime i didnt even turn the heads on ^^
but now i switch to yellowish 2700k, so i must turn my heads on in case of cops.
where a u from Can?

Hey suby01, Can you post some pics with the 5000k HID fog lights. What brand and where did you get them from? Thanks
