headlight painting?

Lightbulb headlight painting?

hello guys,

i am going to paint my headlights and i wanna know if its ok to paint the curve in front of the lense or no? im afraid that the light wont reflect see the attachech thumbnails please

english is my second language sorry

Once you open it up, there is an insert that you can take out and paint. That curved part surrounding the projector is included in that.

painting that part wont affect the light output as you have projectors, while the reflection of the chrome will be reduced leading you to believe you lost light output, in fact you will lose none. So its ok and a good idea to paint it else it might look a bit out of place.

Fellow User's blacked out headlights.

This is what most people do. The inside insert is painted black after opening the headlight assembly. It makes it easy to paint that way too--no need to mask anything.

I thought so too...even leaving the bottom attached. opening the headlight and painting was a breeze comparatively.

This is why I've frowned at the DIY midnight grill. Haven't felt mechanically inclined also. They look different in a good way but remind me of my old altima. Maybe if my pitting gets really bad. But I guess I could get that replaced under warranty.
