Headlights MOD

I have a question for those who had disassembled their headlights - I want to get rid of the orange sidemarker, so how can it be done? Paint it or is it possible to just remove it (does it have chrome underneath?)?

Just paint over it, otherwise it'll look like something is missing there. You won't see it anymore once it's painted over.
Plus I think there will be holes underneath it but I'm not sure about that.

^^ um, that advice doesn't sound too good..

OP, you can dremel it out and replace it with a custom clear piece.

That piece comes right out after you open up the headlight. There is chrome underneath but there will be slits showing where it inserts top and bottom.

So, how to hide it better? If paint - which method and color to choose?

Um, seems like you're in the wrong section...

This is the 2nd gen sedan headlight and the amber is on the side of the light assembly. There isn't even any need to dremel it as it pops out easily. Dremeling would just destroy the assembly.

harp00n, you could go for a glossy silver to hide it better, you might even be able to find a paint shop that does spray on chrome paint which would make it look like it is factory. Even black looks decent, here's an example.

These were done by Igor@180customs (x-vert) hope you don't mind me using these pics Igor.

Lol no worries, I figured you got that bit of info wrong since the coupe amber should be switched out.
