Adjusting your own headlights should be more clear for dummies like me. I don't have the AFS lights and I was turning the **** behind the "B" but I don't think it made any difference vertically. In fact, I think I just moved the aim horizontally?!!!

So is the **** behind the "F" for the fogs or for vertical movement? and which way is up or down?

 

OK just to clarify, those two ***** behind "F" and "B" in the last picture don't do crap. I think they adjust left-right. If someone wants to adjust up-down on your non AFS headlight beam follow these instructions...

I'm freakin confused. I am trying to adjust my beam vertically higher. But when I tried to adjust the ***** pictured on Mike's last photo it seems to move horizontally.??? I don't think I have AFS.

 

Which **** did you adjust? One is for the headlamp itself, the other for the fogs.

Maybe I've finally come across the right information. My 2007 G35x was recently involved in a very minor accident. However, I had to get a new hood, bumper and left headlight casing because the originals were beyond repair. I am a little OCD when it comes to the lights. When I'm driving there is a shadow on the ground in the middle of the road from the driver side headlight. On the passenger side there is no shadow, this was the side untouched by the body shop and collision. Also, when the headlights are illuminated at night it almost looks like the car has vision for how the lights appear on the road and how far they'll reach. At this moment that is messed up, the line from light to dark is higher/lower from driver side to passenger side. Before the collision they were equal, so now while being driven the car appears noticeably cross eyed from the driver's vantage point. So what I'm asking is can they ever be aligned again to the way I received the car and how do I do it? I've already had it back to the auto body shop that it was serviced at but the guy doesn't understand what I'm talking about and obviously they're only open during the day so they don't notice. The problem is only visible at night.
