DIY: Fog Light Hacking 101

I really don't think this is safe. So whatever happens to your car after this mod is not my problem. A lot of people use Modules for this mod but I did it the cheap way. Pictures are self explanatory!! I'll explain a little
It's possible to do it without taking off the bumper, just remove the intakes boxes, but if you want more room too work with just take bumper off and one of the head lights. In my case I did it to the driver headlight. I didn't have the need to do it to the passenger head light. Check pictures

This mod would look better HID on fog lights.

Here you headlight

You are aiming for the green with white wire and yellow wire!

You do that!

Wire them together

Some electric tape

And put everything back together!!

What does this do? Btw Electrical tape will shrivel up and unravel.

Fog lights turn on when you turn on the corner lights. And use them as DRLs!!

Here is the catch!! They always gonna be on when turning on head lights. "

I think he hacked it so you can turn on the fogs without having to turn on the headlights.

Good idea but would have made it so the switch still works to turn them on and off without park lights. Just an idea. Still good write-up and idea.

You are right! But this is the best it gets without a module, or doing some crazy wiring!!

That's maybe because of your location! I don't think anyone here in the states get it like that.

Great job OP. I have DRLs with a KP module which just turns on the fogs (not parking lights). I see that you are running your parking light LEDs together with your fogs. The fogs actually heat up the HL housing and caused several of my parking LEDs to burn out prematurely. You may want to look into replacing your fogs with white Hoens for a better color match.

Nice!! Got a link for this module!! I really don't like having my parking lights on with my fogs!
