yeah thats normal .. HIDS throw off a ton of heat that's why the back of the blazers are metal and not plastic. BTW how did you mount your fogs. Same way I did?

dude idunno how you attached it to the car then managed to drill the holes on the bumper to match them, such a pain in the *ss to keep comparing them to get them perfect lol I just measured and drilled the holes then attached them to the bumper with some brackets and screws that are covered by the gasket hence the weird angling. Im gonna re-aim them later and fix the angling somehow.

question- how high are yours aimed? I dont know whats supposed to be normal when they are pointed at a wall. Should they be like a foot lower than the beam pattern the headlights make or more or less?

If I were you I would not attach them to the bumper.. I was thinking thats what it looked like you did but wasnt sure. I didnt drill the bumper after mounting them. I marked where the holes should go based on obstructions behind the bumper, drilled them, then had a friend tell me when the fogs were lined up in the holes when I was holding them from under the car with the bumper on. I then marked the holes in the brackets that made them line up, drilled and bolted on. I aimed mine to be even with my headlights (my windshield is tinted and I wanted extra light output). If you attach them to the bumper like you did you will not be able to aim them up and down and they will look weird because they will point out. When mounting them like I did you can mount them parallel and recess them so they are not aiming out. Also if you have them attached to the bumper they will shake and move when you hit a pothole.

If your not using hids you dont need the harness. Thats just for the huge amount of power hids take to power up. Just splice and go for you my friend!

you can get all the hid stuff on their site, you can opt to get the HID bulbs with it when you order as well (the halogens come with it for free), but the ballasts are kinda expensive:

35w ballast: http://www.theretrofitsource.com/pro...hrhmi53e644vuj

and apparently for the HID we need a relay harness but i dont know which one to get?

EDIT: no i got the brackets at home depot as well as some [unnecessarily long] carriage bolts that go through the WHOLE bumper lol you can see it in the pics^^ the bolts are 1/4 x 6"
