Question Custom OE-Looking Switch Install

I just got done testing out the AWD disable on my '07 G35x and I love it!

AWD Disable Thread

I went to Radio Shack to get a switch to install but I really want a factory-like appearance to it rather than an ugly flip switch. I'm thinking I could get a factory switch like the VDC button and install it in the blank spot right next to the trunk release. I don't know a whole lot about this kind of thing, so I'm hoping someone can tell me if I'm on the right track or if it's even possible. I would need an On/Off switch rather than a momentary switch (which is what I assume the VDC switch is) so already there's one potential problem...

Does anyone have any ideas for a clean factory-like push button switch?

Just get the factory AFS(Adaptive lights) switch which is on/off and is meant to fit in that gap perfectly and that should take care of it!

Does that button work the same way the VDC switch works, or does it push in and stay in, and then push again and pop back out?

Its not like the VDC, its an actual flip switch type on/of button, when it 'straight/up' its off then you have to flip it down to turn it on, and it will stay on until you yourself flip it off. Not automatically

That definitely might work then. I can't find a picture of the back of the switch anywhere to see how I might hook it up but I'm gonna order one and give it a shot. Thanks for the idea!

yeah I saw those but before I pull the trigger on anything I'm gonna call the dealer and see what price they can give me. My uncle owns an auto-body shop and his cost is usually less than half of list price
