Many on this forum have gotten LEDs for a brighter/whiter look for their license plate lights, but I'm wondering if the Sylvania Silverstar bulbs would suffice.

Anyone have these and, if so, how do you like them? Please share photos if available.

In short, yes. In my experience, since the Sylvania's are brighter, they burn hotter, and this leads to much shorter life expectancy. LED's from a reputable company would end up ball park the same price. As well as longer life than the factory bulbs.

 

Those r the best194 bulbs you can get. Bright light, not cheap and blue. I have them in license plate and sidestrips on the headlamp. I am unaware of them burning hot. Is that just a guess cause they r brighter?
