I am having trouble with the drivers seat. It does not recline, slide, or raise up. The lumbar adjustments work fine. What does the white box control under the seat?

I have downloaded the FSM for my vehicle (2007 G35S Sedan) and located a power supply circuit on section PG-24 that shows a Driver seat control unit and seat memory switch fed from the same circuit. My seat memory switch is also not lit up, hopefully I can check this fuse for this circuit when I get home from work and it will be blown.

Quick question for anyone who is looking and might know - What is the function of the drivers seat control unit? Does it only concern the memory function? Does it control the seat when I move the switch?

 

Hello all. 2005 g35 coupe seats work fine when sitting in park. But when I’m in drive I cannot adjust them? Is this a safety that is from the factory?

 

The only thing that should disable while driving is the button on the back of the seat for the automatic walk-in feature and your seat memory (if equipped) on the side of the seat. The buttons on the inboard side of the seat for recline and slide should function at any speed I think. I don't know that I've ever actually tried it in mine though.
