My '08 X doesn't have the tech package, so it has a blank insert where the switch for the adaptive headlight switch would go. I'd like to see if I can find an insert that would give me a USB port that I can plug my phone or dashcam into. How would I go about removing the plastic insert in order to measure the opening?

 

Have u tried popping it out with a flathead screwdriver?

 

Yeah, haven't had luck with that, since I'd prefer to not break it (at least for now)

 

Looks like it clips on at the top and bottom. Not sure if u can pull it out through the front though. Might have to remove the assembly and remove it from the back?
