Question Headlight switch mod?

Being inspired by a cool mod that makes tranny upshift when you pull the lever back and downshift when you push it forward, I became curious if it is possible to do something similar to change selection order of the headlight switch. I find it retarded to have it as off/auto/parking-lights/low-beams. I would like to have it as off/parking-lights/low-beams/auto. Can I achieve that by swapping a few connectors in the light switch harness or does it take something more complex?

Thanks!

I too would prefer off/parking lights/low beam/auto. Its stupid at night when you turn on your lights. it goes on off on.

The headlight stalk is controlled through a 5 in / 5 out matrix. You most likely won't be able to simply rewire it to make it work, as if you start changing wires around you'll change how other things work (such as turn signals, fog lights, bright lights, etc.). There is also a 'status' bit for each output, that if not present, could cause the system to not work at all.

I've always said that Nissan has the most over engineered headlight/turn signal control of any automotive company.
