Nice video of 0-100km '07 G35

For those still breaking their cars in, this is what 7500rpm sounds like. He get's it to 100mph (160km) pretty fast for having VDC turned on.

Few more 2007 G35 clips from youtube...

Little correction: those are Km/h on his speedometer not mph. 100Km/h, is 62.5mph.

100mph under 2 seconds is not even a Ferrari Enzo figure....

Also, I think it's a JDM Skyline because there is no inner dial with mph (like in the Canuck models)

The second vid is USDM model, with mph on the outer dial and kmh on the inner one.

Still fast as hell though...

All you guys with brand new 07's: the engines are broken in from the factory, floor it as much as possible to right now to get the most power out of the engine. If you don't rev it to 7500 when you first get your car the engine will never perform to it's true potential.

Excuse me, these aren't race engines. We also want a bit of engine life remaining with our cars, I know I'm not prepared for engine rebuilds every so many miles.
By the way, I'm curious where you get your info and how old you are.

He read that website on how to break in a Kawasaki motorcycle engine. I'll try and find it and post it in an update.

found it.

http://www.mototuneusa.com/break_in_secrets.htm

He makes some good points but I don't recall it having to do anything with RPM, just pressure, so putting the car in 2nd when your at 5mph, then flooring it to 4000 RPM will create the same, maybe more pressure then winding out 1st to 7600rmp. Also he only said it needs to happen a few times, not to just beat the car for 1000 miles. Not sure how true it is and I wouldn't execute that method on a $41K car unless I leased it

I'm not following your correction. Both mph and km are indicated on the speedo. The driver got it up to 100mph or 160km/h as the OP said.

Not sure what Speedo you're looking at, but here it is, straight from the vid:

These are Km/h not mph (look at the numbers... the last number is 260... that is certainly not 260MPH...). Hence 100Km/h / 1.6 = 62.5mph.

He hit 60Km/h (per his speedo) or 37.5mph in about 2 seconds, which makes sense. Not 60Mph in 2 seconds (which would be 96Km/h).

The G is fast, but not THAT fast....
