$661.00...

That's how much I have to pay to register my G35C purchased 11.31.2002. This is so wrong! The VLF is supposed to go down as our cars depreciate! Have you received yours yet? If so, would you post the amounts?

Re: $661.00...

Mr. Davis spent our great state's largest surplus in history on new programs such as-rewarding criminals(illegal aliens)by giving them drivers licenses and bank accounts, building public transit in areas where ridership is at an all time high of 23%-we really need that light rail because the buses sure are full, making closed door deals with power companies when they were illegally fixing prices to bring the price down but locked us into contracts that are now raping our bank accounts because we are,you guessed it, still paying too much. This is a very small list of stuff money was wasted on but as good politicans will tell you: If you got someone elses money, you really should spent it all-that way you can justify asking for more next time. So we ran out of money and the only way to get more is to hit the consumer/resident. BTW has anyone ever seen a tax triple within a year? Cigs & alcohol might but I can't remember but those are generally termed "sin" taxes. Well, a car is now a sin it appears. Advice don't move here you will only want to leave after you see the crap the natives have had to put up with all their lives. I am 31 year native and this state and its rotting from the inside out but the business climate keeps me here-it sure ain't the weather as it once was. Sorry for the rant

Regarding the tripling of the car tax......

It's so bad that even Green Party socialist Peter Camejo is opposed to it as a regressive tax on a life's neccessity.

My Registration costs more than my car payment.
My insurance is less than that!
