You know what. Just be nice and apologized. I once got pulled over for going 50 in a 25 zone and that is what I did. The cop asked me what he should do and I just told him to write me a ticket so I can make to my class. So it ended up not giving me a ticket and let me go. Very pleased with this nice police officer... Its the very first time I got pulled over for speeding...and was surprised that I was being nice...usually I got all pissed off and didn't give a ****. Well...guess that work...just me .03 cents

Traffic school is up to the court/judge/county. My wife got a ticket for 90/65. $550 Fine, Traffic school, Coroner class. Just under $1000 total. It all depends on the judge. Also, you can go to traffic court 50 times if you want. The DMV only dismisses one ticket every 18 months. If it happened to you more than once, you were lucky.
