Anybody have a recomendation for a good tint shop in San Diego? Discover gave me the name of the shop that they use but it is over $350 to tint all 5 windows.

Try Tint Devil or Detail Works. Both of them are in Miramar, they did an awesome job on my 300Z awhile back ago.

I'm looking for non-metallic tint. Either 3M Color-Stable tint or Huper Optik. Anyone have any suggestions on where I might be able to find either one of these in the San Diego/SoCal area? I'm willing to travel if necessary. Thanks...

I believe Huper Optik is metallic, same as quantum just more efficient as a heat barrier.

SolarGard Quant. Tint 19% r, 28% fr, & just a tad more than 4" of 50% on the windshield

 

I went with Llumar's new non-metallic film called Llumastar. It has a lifetime warranty against color fading and has no negative affects on radio reception. It looks great so far, maybe I should have gone darker (15%) but I like the look of the 35%. Diamond Services on Miramar.

 

How much did that set you back?

$269 no tax. Got all seven windows done. 35% on back five and 50% on front two.

 

The huper optik tint doesn't interfere with your RF signals. It uses non-reflective Ceramics instead of metals. It's expensive but from what I've read so far it sounds like it would be worth the investment... Now, if I could only find it here in San Diego... I have tint currently but it reduces the rear-ward detection of my V1 so I need to get a good non-reflective tint.
