HELP! from any SoCal Coupe or Z owners

Hi,
I've got a HUGE favor to ask from any *coupe* or *350Z* owners in So.Cal. I'm looking to get a set of the coupe/Z oem 17" wheels for track use. But before I do, I'd like to test fit them on my sedan to be certain that the fitment is ok.

So, please let me know if you're a coupe/Z owner with 17" oem setup that lives in LA, OC, SBC or even RC and would like to help out. I'd gladly buy you lunch/dinner for the trouble.

Thanks again

Clint

Thanks I appreicate the thought
I haven't quite decided on the R-compound tires yet. Either the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup or the cheaper Kumho Vitoracer.

I heard great things about the Pilot Sport Cups. All the 911 guys use them on track and in the summer for street. They are prolly real expensive.

Re: HELP! from any SoCal Coupe or Z owners

Yeah, they're awesome tires for the AutoX/Tracks and surprisingly no more higher in cost than the regular Pilot Sports that comes w. the Coupes. They are however over kill for the streets IMHO. They work best when up to racing temperature and will not last you nearly as long off the track. Also better not run into some standing water (e.g. from the rain) or things could get interesting very fast :O

The Kuhmo V700 Victoracer are dirty cheap in contrast and still offers say maybe 90% of the Cup's performance on track, so I'm probably leaning towards those.

btw ... STILL looking for any kind COUPE owners in SoCal that are willing to help out

Glenn,
You are the man!

I will kindly take up on your offer. I'll be in contact with you privately to figure when's a good time we could do this. I'll have to treat you to a big fat juicy steak dinner or something afterwards! Is there a Claim Jumper or Black Angus by where you live? ... whatever you like

btw ... this will also serve as a reference point in validating/improving the accuracy of the wheel fitment chart for the Sedan that I have been working on. So, all Sedan owners will also benefit from this gig.

Clint

Re: HELP! from any SoCal Coupe or Z owners

Riverside Infinity was pretty good at helping me out. Unfortunately, they did not have the car I was looking for. I happen to chance upon my coupe in Carlsbad Infinity after the wife and I finished our shopping in the outlet mall. They had about 11 coupes in their lot that night half of it was gone when I returned the next day. Good thing I reserved it the night before. I took delivery of the 1st 04 coupe that they had on their lot. It was so new the salesman didn't even know it was there. It only had 4 miles when I picked it up sweet I tell you. Try RI they are pretty helpful it's just that they only had 4 coupes in their lot that day and I didn't like any of them.

Where abouts in Riverside are you and where in OC do you work? I live off La Sierra by Lake Matthews and I work in Costa Mesa just off Harbor and Euclid. I drive a Carribean Blue coupe you might see me driving it around on the weekends. Anyways, goodluck on your choice of G beleive me your going to have fun with it just like most everyone in this forum.

Re: HELP! from any SoCal Coupe or Z owners

Hey Glenn thanks for the info. Wow it sounds like we must pass each other on the roads sometime..... I grew up around the La Sierra/Lake Matthews area sort of - Victoria area near Harrison Elementary. I live up in Orangecrest right now - off Trautwein and Central. I work in Santa Ana right off the 55/McArthur - the big White House looking buildings. Right now I'm driving a 2000 V6 Mustang - blue, lowered, rims. I've driven by the Riverside dealer a few times and I thought their stock of coupe was pretty low....I'll just keep checking around. Anyways, thanks for the info and maybe I'll see you driving around.
